There is a reason why the top of the Rubies is a wilderness area. It is for the welfare of the wildlife that make the Rubies their home and protect the land. We don't have other private owners desecrating the land for their private use. There is no doubt this is an outsider trying to capitalize on our beauty with no regard for the reason we live here.

Keep the Rubies wild. Do not allow the extravagantly wealthy, nor anyone for that matter, to run rampant and unbridled as they attempt to destroy this region for personal gain. Everything these greedy people do is in the disgusting name of profit at the expense of generations of locals. Stop it. Now.

Leave the rubies natural

Please don't ruin the Rubies. Keep it beautiful and natural without defacing it with lifts , clearing trees and road scars. There is no water to keep snow up there.

This proposal is the thin edge of the wedge to turn this pristine and lovely area into a commercial operation that will adversely impact local residents and the pristine nature of the Ruby Mountains. Take note of the number of signatures on this petition and the organized opposition to the proposal. Please reverse the approval of it and stop this potential travesty.

No just no why ruin the one good looking thing out here

Water is life in rural Nevada. Overdevelopment in this closed basin will ruin the quality of life for the residents, nature, ranches(here for decades). They bought the Ruby Mountain property with zoning restrictions to PROTECT the community and ranches from ruin, now he wants to change the zoning for personal profit. He is the only person EVER to deface the front of the Ruby Mountain range…shows he does not care about the mountain or the people who live here that want to maintain a rural quality of life. We live in the driest state in the whole entire country. The parcel he bought gets the least amount of snowfall, melts off first and dries up first every summer season. The water for these developments is NOT there.

Keep our mountains free of development.

Please consider re-evaluating the contention that the proposed level of development and environmental disturbance (with potential for commercial use) is justified under the terms of a conditional use permit.
