We need to preserve our country style of living and we don't need a commercial ski resort disguised as a private family endeavor.

Please do not approve this zone change. The iconic, picturesque Ruby Moutains are a treasure to nearly all who live in this area. We build our homes to face the mountain for the sole purpose of enjoying it's breathtaking beauty every day. Allowing commercial building and infrastructure on the face of this mountain will be devastating for an entire community and its visitors. We do not want to view the scars already carved into the pristine landscape and we certainly do not want if further destroyed. Please consider the desires of the majority over the few with deep pockets. While I respect being able to pursue developing private property to your own preference, this situation is unique in that it changes multiple factors for everyone who lives here.

They are beautiful just as the Rubbies have been and we don’t need more resorts for only rich people.

A clear choice to preserve and protect the Rubies is the only position to take.

Oppose:
The negative impacts will be devastating. It will bring soil erosion, possible landslides and avalanches, and a negative impact on plant life and the wildlife. Plus, during the numerous dry winters, the water is very scarce. Then there is the adverse effect of making artificial snow and supplying water for the machines to make the snow. Will it be legal for them to stop the natural water flow to make a holding reservoir or pond to supply the water ? If they have wastewater trucked in, where is this wastewater from and where will it be stored and what will the impact of wastewater have ? These are only a few points, there is so much more to consider the roads, heavy equipment, law enforcement, disturbance issues and what if the resort and ski lift fails, then what?
The Ruby Mountains already have so much to offer. The beautiful trails, biking, fishing, picnicking & camping. Also, the Big Horn Sheep and Mountain Goats are amazing to witness in their habitat. In the winter, when snow is in abundance, there is snowmobiling and skiing.
Keep the Ruby Mountains untouched, once the damage is done you cannot replace what damage will be done.

Let the Rubies be. This place should be off limits for any development of any kind.

Was born and raised here for almost 30 years. Lamoille is the only place in this town I go to for peace and quiet. The only good thing about this town.

Some of us in Spring Creek moved to this area because of the natural state of the Rubies as with most of this rural area. It's our home. We want natural and we want our wildlife and our Ruby Mountains to stay unscathed, and natural. I would hate to think our wildlife would succumb to less territory than they already struggle with.

I moved here to get away from Californians, they say they don't want to change our way of life but the minute they get started it is over. They lie and cheat and will ruin our views of the Rubies. There is the water concern, what about taxes and who is going to pay to maintain the road to the lodge? I am a born and raised Nevadan I moved here from Gardnerville because they ruined a beautiful valley. I am retired want to live my life in peace and every day it is getting harder, the association wants nothing more than to change this into a resort so they can charge us more dues.

It's clear that the aim for this project is a commercial ski operation in the rubies. I am opposed to this project on multiple levels.
