The ruby mountains are a special place in Nevada; they are wild, beautiful and deserve to remain that way. We denied a ski resort to be built in 2024 because of the concerns it would have on the environment and the economy. The lack of concerned for water and wildlife in the area is appalling. Please do not let this go through

If this project goes through it will price locals who keep this county running right out of the county. Then what?

The Rubies deserve to be left alone in their natural state. People depend on them.

We denied a ski resort to be built in 2024 because of the concerns it would have on the environment and the economy. We’ve seen this story before look at Jackson Hole, WY and Lake Tahoe NV/CA. While it’s good for bringing people it also has hurt the environment and the local economy so no one can afford to live in these areas. I am signing to not have the Ruby Mountains be sold to build a ski resort, and for Rubies to remain wild.

There will be extreme backlash if this goes through tdue to the lack of concerned for water and wildlife in the area. This is negligence and environmentalist are going to be all over this. Lawyers have already been contacted.

I hope they reconsider this decision. It will get abused.

the rubies mean a better life to so many people. i ski and snowmobile the rubies personally and absolutely think a resort would ruin the experience as well as bring in horrible people to the town that would not treat the mountains like they live there

This is under the guise of friends and family but once they got approval they will do whatever they want. This is not what I moved out here to look at everyday.

As a Spring Creek native and an avid skier, I discourage the development of a public and/or private resort in the Ruby Mountains. The Ruby’s have offered backcountry and heli-ski opportunities for decades in which I’ve proudly enjoyed. I would encourage the developers, if they are true sportsman, to do the same, but I don’t believe that is the case nor motivator. Northern Nevada, and especially the Ruby Mountains, should be indefinitely protected.

Keep Nevada wild, especially our rural towns. Zoning codes are in place for a reason, and ought not be ignored.
