This should never have been approved for numerous reasons all of which have been brought to the attention of the Elko County Planning Commission. Our representatives at the County level should be acting on behalf of the majority of their constituents and not the interests of a single property owner, particularly when a project of this magnitude will have such a huge impact on our wild lands and our wild animals as well as water resources, drainage and other natural resource concerns.

The community does not want this and the mountain does not need this.. Im not usually one for telling a landowner what he can or cannot do with his land. But when it effects the wildlife, natural resources, beauty and community Ill damned sure stand up. Do better Elko county planning commission

A private ski resort for the wealthy is not consistent with existing open space zoning in Elko County and risks damaging the public resources, particularly water, in an area where such resources are relied upon by ranchers, tribes, and local municipalities. Major developments like a ski resort must seek proper zoning designations and go through rigorous public review and comment processes—this project, thus far, has not done so.

Serious questions have been raised an an appeal to the County Zoning Board decision has been made. Elko County Commission was elected to represent all citizens not just wealthy ones. Commissioners who might directly or indirectly profit from the resort or development around it should recuse themselves from participating in this decision.

The Ruby Mountains is not meant to be developed into a ski resort. It is a place where the west is still wild and should remain wild. Therefore, anybody who wants to develop and conquer with their nature is a ecoterrorist.

The Rubies need to remain as untouched as possible. They are the draw to this area. Recent years of increased use has already led to abuse, litter, impact, etc. A resort would drastically increase these problems.

I am against building this on the rubies. The impact will be great and not in a good way. Please repeal this.
