The Rubies are one of Nevada's purest beloved treasures. Over 40 years ago I worked on a winter recreation survey for Nevada State Parks. Even then it was imperative to accommodate conflicting forms of recreation fairly in the Ruby Buttes ( common Ndvada name). Withdrawing terrain for exclusive use for only those with means to afford access is contra to all Nevada stands for. The "jobs" the Commission claim to support are those that foster subservience to the 1% that pay for their luxurious privacy and exclusivity.

I was born and raised in Elko and currently live in Spring Creek. I would appreciate it if you would really consider not allowing the ski lodge to be approved.

Leave Nevada's wild places wild. We do not need another ski resort. We need these places to stay unmolested by developers. I, as a life long resident of Nevada, oppose this "ski resort" and any other desicration of Nevada land!
Save our lands, in doing so we will save our country.

It will not benefit Elko County. Will be a net lose in quality of life and the amount of water required for the snow making will drain the ground water for rest of the area.

Developing the Ruby Mountains will end up causing a massive drop in wildlife that the local communities of Elko, Spring Creek, and Lamoille depend on for both recreation (hunting, fishing) and ranching (ecosystem management for grazing) and thus will cause a negative, not a positive, impact on the area.

We cannot allow this precedent set, that everything is just a play ground for the rich. The Rubies are pristine and must be protected.

If allowed, others will follow.it will set a precedent that will make it virtually impossible to protest against. It has been said "u cannot stop progress.' But if tat progress destroys or alters ( which it will) the pristine nature of the Rubies, then it is not progress. These mountains which are dear to us will be changed forever; it is all about
the $$$, investment , writeoffs. NO!

Please reverse the approval of this ski resort. It is not wanted by a majority of the Elko community.

Public lands and nature are not for sale! They are for future generations and preservation of flora and fauna! Once it is destroyed, it is lost forever. Money cant not restore habitat, protection can.
