we actually did it and the rink is staying put. i cant thank you enough for sticking with this and helping us keep our home. im going to keep an eye on things to make sure they stick to the plan but for now we celebrate.

The new lease holders at Manor Road ( 215 Schmidts Lane ) want to remove our roller hockey rink. Please sign this petition and pass along if you want to stop them from doing so! Let NY Carousel LLC and Parks Dept know that we will be boycotting NY Fun Park and won't be spending any of our money there if they remove this rink!!!!

i honestly cant believe how fast this is moving and seeing everyone come together for the rink is just incredible. we have the momentum now so lets keep pushing because ny carousel llc really needs to see how much we care about this place.

we are almost at a thousand signatures and need to push this over the edge right now. lets show them we arent going anywhere and hit that goal today so they cant ignore us.

Our children are 3 & 5 , they love hockey . The guys that volunteer here are amazing and took the time to coach my kids. Please re-think your decision and keep this rink open. It keeps teenage kids out of trouble,. These kids have made so many friends that have turned into family.
This rink is a great place for kids to learn how to play roller hockey. Both my son and my daughter go to free clinic on Saturday mornings and they love it. You can not close this rink! The people who run it are fantastic with the kids and know what they are doing.
You're ripping away an opportunity for hundreds of kids who can't afford ice hockey to experience the joy of playing hockey. We've all had some great memories on this rink and there is no space on the Island to build something comparable. Keep the rink and do something positive !
This rink not only was an outlet for me to get away from life and it's problems a few nights a week over the years, it was also a way to keep good friends together and a means to forge new friendships also. No way should this rink ever come down....EVER!
Closing this rink will be devastating for so many kids. They waited patiently for this rink to be repaired and enclosed for all weather play. This is a safe and positive place to play and learn hockey. There is no other rink like this on SI. Please don't take this away from them!

Roller Hockey is an all-season sport for all ages of life! A carousel will only be available during the off school seasons Ice Hockey is too expensive where Roller Hockey can be affordable for the whole family!
