I fear for my families safety with the upcoming jail closure. Ridgecrest is isolated and by doing this you are further isolating the community from safety.

Respectfully request the Kern County Sheriff reprioritize his budget and keep the Ridgecrest jail open.

It would be severely detrimental to the city of Ridgecrest and the local police to close the jail.

I believe our jail here is very important it keeps the bad off the streets and keeps the law enforcement in town instead of having them leave to transport people.

You can squander 1.5 million dollars on this stupid park that nobody uses, but we cant afford guards in the jail?

I can't imagine how much worse Ridgecrest will get with less enforcement. God bless our officers.

It is completely unacceptable for our city to be without a jail. We pay taxes, and require that those funds go to support our public safety!

Making our officers have to take prisoners to Bakersfield is absolutely absurd. Instead of putting new medians in the middle of roads that everybody hates. USE ALL THE WASTED MONEY THAT THIS CITY DUMPS AWAY AND USE IT FOR OUR POLICE!!!!!

I believe closing the Ridgecrest Jail will not be of benefit to the City of Ridgecrest and the community together.

This would be a HUGE MISTAKE if you closed that jail! First of all the jobs and second where would you but all the criminals to help keep Ridgecrest, Inyokern safe!

Our city really needs this jail to stay open. Resources are limited enough here and closing the jail will only keep more criminals on the street and limit available officers on patrol.

Please keep the jail in Ridgecrest open. Having our officers tied up driving back and forth to Mojave or Bakersfield leaves our community at risk for delayed response times to urgent calls. Please make your cuts elsewhere and not to our community that has a population of over 40,000 people.
