I am sick over this. Via Lago is my favorite establishment in Eastlake, and one of my top two favorite Italian joints in SoCal. Time to move northward!

I live & shop in the Eastlake community. We do not need another drug store in this area. We lack restaurants. I hope community members will be listened to.

What good is a city without community culture. Restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and other recreational areas as such create this culture. Not pharmacies that take over these areas in order to generate more money from a nation wide chain corporation. Getting rid of the family owned restaurants at the Village Walk Center is like destroying a community park to turn it into a parking lot that charges by the hour. It's possible that this community needs another pharmacy, but to put one in place of well known and loved restaurant is self destructive and plainly cruel to the people of this community.

It is very disheartening to hear about a CVS taking over our favorite restaurants at Village Walk and ruining the ambience of the whole center. We do not need another pharmacy!!! We have a Riteaid, Walgreens, plus pharmacies in Walmart and Target all within a mile. We also already have another CVS nearby. This is unfair to the residents of Eastlake. We strongly oppose to CVS moving in to the Village Walk. This will ruin the family culture of the area.

Please leave the restaurants! We Love Via Lago so much and never shop at CVS it's expensive and they sell just junk food and beer at overprice...

I can't believe that ANYONE would consider tearing down these 2 beautiful restaurants for a pharmacy. It's not like there are not 2 practically across the street --Vons and RiteAid-- but there are2 more right down the street at WalMart and Walgreens. If you haven't yet been to them, go in one afternoon/evening and feel transported to romantic Italy or vivacious Mexico. To say that the food is delicious or the staff is like family goes without saying. It's the whole experience. Someplace to go for special occasions or no occasion... I for one do not always want to go to San Diego or any other place outside of my community for an evening out, or when friends come to town... Or maybe we would prefer to show off our new pharmacy to our guests. Chula Vista deserves to be a city to be proud of in its own right... Not as some outskirt to San Diego!!!!!

I would strongly recommend that Sudbury properties rethink their current plan to remove two restaurants and replace them with a CVS. Eadylake Village is currently able to provide a unique and pleasant shopping and dining experience because of restaurants like Via Lago and Karinas. To remove these two restaurants would not only destroy those places but it would make the shopping and dining experiences here like any other strip mall... which is not what we want.
