This whole thing is ridiculous . If you don't like the name don't watch the team play . After the Bullets changed their name I lost all interest in the team. A name is just a name . Mr. Snyder , Don't give in to the pressure of a bunch of people that have too much free time on their hands .

As a Native American and life-long Redskins fan, I find it insulting that lawmakers and media have jumped on this band-wagon to change the name of an organization that has always represented a source of pride for EVERY Native American that I know. The small percentage of Native Americans that are in favor of changing the name must be Dallas fans, in my opinion. Once again, I feel it to be insulting that these lawmakers consider themselves acting on behalf of people like me without even asking my opinion.

I have been a Skins fan for several years now and it is a shame that something like this is an issue. The team name comes from pride, not prejudice. Keep it! HTTR!!!

I have been a Washington Redskins fan for 30 years, after talking with 2,000 Native American Washington Redskins fans I know there's no reason to change the name

I was born and raised a die hard Washington Redskins fan. For 25 years I've been cheering for my team win or lose. To change the name that soo many Americans cheer for victory is ridiculous. That's like saying I want to change an American Tradition. Point is, is there's no disrespect meant in the name Redskins. I mean hell I'm 50% Norwegian and I'm not upset or trying to change the Minnesota Vikings name. Leave it alone, stop being hurt about nothing. I can't stand when people make a big deal of a non issue. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!

It totally seems downright SILLY that a team would pick a team NAME that they want made FUN OF. SERIOUSLY? Uhh, Yeah, my team's name is the Washington DOUCHEBAGS... ha ha, what a bunch of smelly vagina cleaners my team is...yeah, GO DOUCHEBAGS oh yeah, I am such a huge fan of a team with a derroggatory hateful name and that's why I voted for it to be named that....because I want my team laughed at and my mascot to be a joke. Why else would you have a mascot? They are there for others to laugh at and make fun of, right? am I right or what?
(BACK TO REALITY) NOBODY in their right mind would name their team's mascot as a JOKE name, sorry, they want a name that makes their team look GOOD, not BAD. These supposed "Offended Indians" are most likely ignorant and either don't understand how things work in sports teams and how the naming of a mascot is an HONOR, not a DEROGATORRY JOKE...need to be re-educated and kept away from left wing cry baby's that run around just looking for something to be offended by. Meanwhile, when a Cucifix is turned upside down and put in a jar of URINE to be put on display in a MUSEUM, and a huge MAJORITY of Christians are offended, well they tell us "It's art, and free speech and you don't have a right to not be offended"...yet we have nearly a 10% or less number of actual indians are offended by Redskins, so now we have to rename them because a minority find it offensive, so it must be changed. What hypocrites the politically correct idiots are in this country. We have to stop letting them win the arguments. It's time for the silent MAJORITY to stand up and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

I'm not a Redskins fan by any means. But I love this sport and everything it represents. I'm part Native American and the term "Redskins" does NOT offend me for a second. Not a single person I know says it offends them. This is about football, not about trying to offend an entire culture. DO NOT change "Washington Redskins" because of some political aganda. Nothing derogatory about rooting for you favorite team. And I'm a Giants Fan!
