I say keep SSHS mascot. It has nothing to do what so ever with slavery. The mascot is there because of the name of the school and nothing more. It in no way glorifies slavery. People are literally buying into something that isn't there.

Both my children went to South Spencer. The Rebel man has already been stripped of his flag and musket. Leave him alone. Majority rules doesn’t matter anymore. One person can change everything just because they don’t like it.

I’m a Rebel graduate. not once did I ever think or feel as if it was oppressing the black people who attended our school. People are just finding a reason to moan and groan. But if the opposing petition wins, Heritage Hills, you’re going down next.
