Students are eating lunch in the hallways because there is not enough space in the cafeteria. There are not enough classrooms. How is this even a question?!

County Council please do not DELAY! I have been on the Pyle Education Foundation for more than three years and we have been talking about increasing enrollments and lack of space. Massive overcrowding - we need the Capital Improvement Budget to move forward so construction can begin on schedule! Please APPROVE the Board of Ed's CIP! It's up to YOU!!!

As a proud Pyle and Whitman graduate, I want my three children to experience the high caliber public education that I did, in a proper learning facility, not a hallway or trailer.

over crowding impacts student performance. To keep our schools at current level of greatness, we need to maintain facilities. Funding additions is the most important thing we can do to insure our kids have best opportunities to learn in future. Don't delay. don't postpone. we need this now.

I'm a resident of Glen Mar Park. The neighborhoods are very concerned about the Westbard development that will create even more pressure on Wood Acres, Pyle and Whitman. The County planners are recommending increasing the density of the housing in the Westbard development that will put even more pressure on the schools. The people who bought their homes in Glen Mar Park did so b/c of the quality of the schools. County officials (County Council and Board of Education) are on the verge of critically damaging the crown jewel of Montgomery County -- the Wood Acres, Pyle, Whitman schools. Overcrowding in our local schools by not moving the Pyle and Whitman expansion forward and for supporting the new Westbard development density is shameful.. We are voters!

This is crazy. I chose to pay higher taxes to move here to take advantage of the excellent schools. Now the schools are packed - and the quality of the education is beginning to suffer. Fix this. Expand Pyle and Whitman. And forbear action at Westbard until the schools can comfortably absorb them. Shame on our elected officials for running roughshod over our best asset. This voter is watching.

We moved to the Whitman cluster area because of the excellent reputation of the public schools. In recent years, we have come to regret this decision as our schools have become more and more overcrowded and our elected officials have failed to confront these problems. I have toured other newly-built MoCo public schools - which can only be described as palatial - and deeply resent how our Whitman cluster schools have been neglected despite the ENORMOUS contribution in tax revenue our residents contribute. In upcoming elections, I will be voting against all incumbents on principle. Change at every level is desperately needed. Our family plans to move out of MoCo in the next few years. The outrageously high property taxes just are not worth it.
