I have officially requested a formal meeting with the school board to discuss the proposed budget cuts to the orchestra program. While I wait for their response, I am compiling a report detailing how live music elevates these productions compared to recorded tracks.

The pit is apart of what distinguishes the Skyline Theatre Department from all other schools, as a VPA school, we should provide every possible opportunity to create art that we can
Pit helped me improve as a musician immensely. I also made tons of new friends and had tons of fun.
The pit has always been a huge part of musicals & to students. Without a pit, what is a musical?
The pit matters so much during plays. It adds a sense of realism to the play and also keeps theater authentic. The pit also gives great experience to kids wanting to further there playing in the future.
To exclude the pit when they are just as dedicated just doesn't feel write to me
As an actor, I'd like to see the pit stay around.
Why wouldn't there be live orchestra with all that talent sitting right there!

nothing beats live music during a show. recorded tracks sound so fake and honestly ruin the whole vibe of the performance. keep the pit!
