Petition Summary: Ms. Vikita Bell Hardwrick, who has served for twenty-two years as the Director of Admissions at Henderson State University, is one of the most influential members of the HSU campus community. Administration has decided to replace Ms. Hardwrick, who we refer to as the Pillar, with a new hire as an associate provost of enrollment. In prior years, Ms. Vikita has requested a new enrollment management program to better enhance the enrollment of the university; That was rejected due to lack of funding. Administration finds funds for what they feel are important. Henderson does have an enrollment problem caused by lack of support for student organizations, Greek life, poor communication and zero trust between students and administration. Removing the Pillar from our university will not only cause a drastic decline in enrollment, but will destroy the HSU campus community.
Action Petitioned For: We, the undersigned, are concerned students, alumni, faculty, staff, and members of the community who urge our leaders to act now to keep Ms. Vikita Bell Hardwrick as the Director of Admissions.

I was looking at the total earlier and we are just hovering right at the edge of that thousand mark which feels huge but also scary because it is so quiet on the admin side. If everyone could just grab one person to sign this today it would probably push us over that threshold and force them to actually acknowledge that we are not going anywhere.

I was just staring at the screen and noticing we are inches away from the first hundred names which is honestly wild since I only started this on a whim because I was so frustrated by the emails I got today. If you could just send this to a few people who also know how much Ms. Vikita has done for this place we might actually force them to look at the screen and see we are not going anywhere.

A very influential person on and off campus. Linking the student's at HSU to administration is more important then most realize. This would be detrimental to the development of the students and drive any significant progress backwards. I support the Pillar as an alumni.
Ms. Vikita truly has a heart of gold! I know she cares for her students and truly connects with them in a way that is invaluable for a leader in her position. I know this because I was once one of those many many students. She is a gem to HSU, not disposable!
She is a woman of God who has a giving heart and put others feelings before her own. She worked tirelessly to keep the moral and enrollment high at Hsu! Replacing her will be a detriment to the university and the community!
She was the first face I met when I first toured HSU. She not only did she know the ins and outs of the University, she made me feel like I was family. She welcomed me as well as my family to HSU which was a big reason I came.
I support Ms. Hardwrick and feel she was instrumental in the recruitment and retention of many of my classmates, who have since graduated from Henderson. This political ploy is a travesty to the school community and will hinder growth in future enrollment.
Please do not let this valuable asset get away.
She needs to keep her position. She has been an asset to Henderson

I'm a Distinguished Alum of HSU and I think what you're doing to Vikita is outrageous and undignified. She has served the university well for many, many years. She should not be treated in this fashion. Adkison should be ashamed!
