This is yet another example of our governing body exploiting and deceiving its citizens. Shame on you!

The sneakiness of this whole project is the most offensive part. If it was such a great deal for Scottsdale, why did GHA and the Rose Group try to sneak it through the City Council's Consent Agenda with a misleading title on it?

Great Hearts is a for profit enterprise. This land was deeded for public park. Once you give a profit based entity an inch they will gobble up the whole thing.

How much more in tax dollars do we need to spend on a football field for a charter school? Let them use the land they purchased, after all, they purchased it knowing they were going to be able to build whatever they want on the land. We constantly hear about teacher pay, lack of teachers, lack of supplies, etc, yet there is this kind of money for a football field? Are you kidding me? A good education is important to the community - this upgraded football field is not.

Imagine if we went back to 2003 and told DC Ranch, LLC that they were deeding land for a future sports complex for the use of a Charter School - would they have done so? I think not. They deeded use for a PUBLIC park, not a Charter School Sports Complex! I urge city council to vote against this measure.

Do not develop this preserve. Please keep sacred to Scottsdale the diminishing free space to admire and explore.

It is not appropriate for a private entity to be given the first right to use public parks!

Keep the green space! Who deeded this property? Are they (or family) aware of this?
