Please join the Black Robe Regiment in support of the faith leaders, concerned citizens, city and county officials of Athens, Texas who are fighting to allow the long-standing tradition of displaying a nativity scene on the Henderson County courthouse lawn to remain.  The fringe minority group, Freedom from Religion, has demanded that the nativity scene be removed or they be allowed to display their own message of ignorance, deception, and hatred.  They have asked to display a banner with the following message; "At this season of the Winter Solstice, let reason prevail.  There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell.  There is only our natural world.  Religion is but myth & superstition that hardens hearts & enslaves minds." 

So despite millions of people who over thousands of years have (symbolically) celebrated the birth of the Savior at this time, these pagan propagandists seek to excise this tradition in our culture and replace it with a pagan celebration, (returning us all to the Dark Ages of superstition instead of the Truth as manifested by the Word).

It is time for all concerned citizens to take a stand against this perversion of culture and those who seek to erase history and tradition in a new world order.  Please join us in telling any future courts or potentates who may seek to render judgement in this matter that we will fight it tooth and nail.  We will fight to keep the rich Christian traditions of our Republic's founding in place and will remain united in proclaiming that Jesus is the reason for the season and Christ will forever remain in Christmas!
