This is nothing less than asinine to let a minority group try to uproot our Hertiage. We need to teach our children to stand aganist evil! If we s be into this -we'll cave to anything! Enough is enough!!

Stop trying to erase our country's history by eliminating monuments that honor brave, people who stood for their principles.

Maple Ridge currently checking the HP status of Lee, we have long considered it part of our historical neighborhood and Lee School was included on one of our Tours, showcasing its historical significance. History cannot be rewritten, by changing the name of all the schools, streets or neighborhoods in America. This is wrong!

Study his life. He did not fight "for" slavery. He fought "for" states' rights. He actually spoke out against slavery. He is a good example for Oklahomans.

Should we rename Georgia because of King George of England? This is an over-reaction.

Leave the name alone. Good grief, he's a person out of our history. We don't have to agree with the Confederacy to admit that Robert E. Lee was one of the greatest generals in U.S. history. After the war, he did all he could to help bring the Union back together. He even became the president of of the college named after George Washington. Let's stop refighting the War Between the States.

Changing the name of a school or institution or street for that matter, does not change history. Enough already!
