I went to CHS and I still think Stonewall should keep it's name. The PC-police are out of control!

I am a 1964 graduate of SJHS. I do not want the name changed. Jackson, yes, was a confederate general, but also a college professor, a West Point graduate and a deeply religious man of great character. He fought for his home state of Virginia and State's Rights not for slavery. He is part of our national history and someone we should be proud of and not ashamed of because of political correctness.

Next we won't have the privilege of any freedom of liberty! Allow me to share the definition liberty[ ˈlibərtē ] NOUN 1.the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one's way of life, behavior, or political views: "compulsory retirement would interfere with individual liberty" synonyms: independence · freedom · autonomy · sovereignty · 2.the power or scope to act as one pleases: "individuals should enjoy the liberty to pursue their own interests and preferences" synonyms: freedom · independence · free rein · license · It's time to put an end to this ludicrous behavior. LUDICROUS definition: ADJECTIVE - so foolish, unreasonable, or out of place as to be amusing; ridiculous: "it's ludicrous that I have been fined" synonyms: absurd · ridiculous · farcical · laughable · risible · preposterous

This is getting rediculus. You can't change History by trying to erase or change names. Our History and the names and people in it are what makes our future, we learn from it and any mistakes that have been made (or not made).

This school has a great history!! Changing the name would be very disrespectful to the school, not to mention all the alumni!!!

I do not want the name of this school changed and I am offended by people trying to change history. It's ridiculous. KEEP THE NAME - STONEWALL JACKSON. I am a 1959 graduate of this school but, I'm really from Pennsylvania and a yankee.
