He was a great general & born in these mountains. The Civil War is a part of our American history. Keep the name! Both sides have notable people deserving honor. You want to be upset? Get angry over our national debt, get angry over how our veterans are treated, get angry over beheadings, get angry over executive power abuse, get angry over the millions that have died since Roe vs Wade. Wake up America....the America of the colonists that won the Revolutionary War, that fought off the greatest power on earth with God's help, created AMERICA!

This is crazy there is no need to change the name of the Stonewall middle school if Lynette for years and leave it alone there is no reason to change anything any names Lay things away they are its history in the past in the future going forward these things alone its not hurting anything that is a part of being racist when you're changing stuff because you don't like the name concerning this racist that is bull crap

By Federal act of Congress (May 23, 1958) all Confederate veterans are recognized as Unites States Military Veterans, and deserve all the rights and honors pertinent to such service.
Public Law 85-425: “Sec. 410. The Administrator shall pay to each person who served in the military or naval forces of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War a monthly pension in the same amounts and subject to the same conditions as would have been applicable to such person under the laws in effect on December 31, 1957, as if his service in such forces had been service in the military or naval forces of the United States.”
