The name needs to stay the same. It's ridiculous to change it.

I do not think those nine folks that had their lives taken by a deranged individual would approve of all that is going on with the assault on the Confederate heritage. I believe they were better people than that. These assaults have nothing to do with those folks. They are assaults by ideological zealots using they murders as a springboard for their agenda. It is very sad...very pathetic they would do this. Don't kowtow to the race baiter's wanting to destroy a heritage...a part of our history.

I do not live in Charleston but this foolishness has to stop. People need to get a life and quit blaming everything on something that happened before any of us was even born.

Stonewall Jackson was born in what is now WV. He was a great general whose ability was known by north and south. Proud to have been a "General".

Stonewall Jackson went to west point, served in the US military and fought in the Mexican-American war. When the civil war came and Virginia seceded he followed his state. Never owned slaves did not believe in slavery, the civil war, started over money as most wars do. The north being jealous of the south having cheaper labor. It resulted in the abolition of slavery which was a good outcome of the war.
