Anyone who has read much about Stonewall Jackson knows that he was one of the greatest generals in American history, serving honorably in the U.S. and Confederate armies. We honor the man as a great American and West Virginian, not the cause of the Confederacy.

This was and is our school and it's name and history should not be erased because the media says the southern name is associated with hate crimes. Keep the name Stonewall Jackson and "Our strong band cannot be broken, formed at Stonewall Jackson High"!

Even though I went to Charleston High School, not Stonewall, I support keeping the name. Trying to remove the past sounds very much like the attempts to change history found in George Orwell's novel '1984.'
