Exspecially when the murderer was NEVER legally CHARGED WITH a HATE CRIME! Check it OUT it's TRUE! And in the media including the GOVERNOR of South Carolina and the other POLITICIANS all said that the flag must come down because it symbolizes the horrific HATE CRIME of the 9 PEOPLE MURDERED AT the CHURCH! ( SO SINCE HE WAS NEVER CHARGED WITH A HATE CRIME THEN THE WORDS THEY SPEAK ARE SLANDEROUS LIES ) You have to be charged with the CRIME before PEOPLE can start changing AMERICA because of a CRIME that he WASN'T CHARGED WITH! ***MAY THE 9 PEOPLE MURDERED R.I.P. *** and their families find peace.

Please keep the name Stonewall Jackson Middle School. Changing the name would dishonor all of the alumni and friends of this great institution.

Keep the name! I am so sick and tired of this whole mess. I believe that the the uniform General Jackson was wearing in the portrait that hung in the foyer was Union BLUE, not Confederate GRAY.

I always thought it was funny that WV even has a school named after Mr. Jackson because the guy was for the Confederacy, western Virginian's, at the time, were all about staying with the Union. Anyways I agree, people need to get a life and leave the name of the school alone because of what, they took down the Confederate flag in SC so everything Confederate needs to go?

I doubt if anyone who has ever attended or even knows about this school has ever thought it's name was racist. Keep the name! It is part of the history of Charleston.
