Look up the meaning of the word Rebel in the dictionary & in the meaning you will not find the word racist or hatred. End of story.

I didn't graduate from Byrne's but I had family who did. Leave their alma mater alone. It's been that way for many years and has hurt no one. The NAACP just keeps trying to start trouble. Seems like they are the rasists.

school is about learning and growing into and adult. the school name and mascot can not prevent a students outcome in life. Go REBELS

I graduated in 1977 as a Rebel Always a Rebel !!!!!! I have 3 children that graduated as Rebels and they also want their children to graduate as Byrnes Rebels !!!!!!

I graduated from Greer high back in 2008, as far as I can remember Byrnes high school has been the "rebels". Look up the definition of rebels and see what you find. Nothing racist at all. Leave it alone and focus on something else.
