We as lone parents need all the support we can get, not to be treated as if we don't matter...... not just a number we are individual parents bringing the next generation up.

Disgrace. It is tough enough bringing a child up on our own besides taking away lone parent allowance. Not all of us have social housing. It is terrible. As child gets older the more expensive it is to raise them...

So unfair this new scheme does not encourage people to go back to work it dies the exact opposite. There just isn't enough 20 hour part time jobs to go round.

Lost my lone last year when my child reached 16 the nest 2 years of her life are the most expensive with going into leaving cert. It's a disgrace I work 2 part time jobs to make ends meet and the fis balance took 3 months to sort I'm now in debt .

I know lone parents who would face incredible hardship if this comes into place..... as parents we should be out childrens primary carer not just pay someone else to do it. Lone parents work hard doing the few hours they can to show their kids that they want to work not just take from the state, the lone parents I know take prid e in the fact their child can say my mummy or daddy works at 'X' job. working those jobs usually costs most of what they earn just to get to and from it but its about not feeling like youre doing nothing.........

Should have proper before school and after school child care in place before this cut.
