Keep the LINC Program at Vancouver Community College

This is a crucial programme and should never have been cut.

This program should be continued to ensure language education for new-comers to Canada.

This program is needed to promote and develop needed skills to contribute successfully in the workforce and better enhance daily living

This is an important step in integrating new people to Canada

Please keep this vital programming for newcomers to Canada at Vancouver Community College. At the very least, please extend LINC at VCC for another year. It is a reasonable request.

The Federal government is only giving 3 months notice before cancelling the LINC program at VCC. LINC students are being abruptly cut off, and VCC has little time to plan for these hundreds of students. It is a reasonable request to extend LINC programming at VCC for another year. Stop playing political football with essential language and settlement programming for newcomers.

Public education lacks the power to negotiate with the federal government. If it held greater influence, the government might be more inclined to reconsider its stance like what happened with the tariff. The government had better stop subsidizing cricket farms and fund the public education.

VCC is a community college and these people that need LINC live in the community. Learning at a college has many benefits for newcomers to Canada that are trying to integrate into Canadian society. They have the opportunity to transition to other programs there.

Please do not stop LINC. All of us need it. It's great and essential.

Please, please do not eliminate this program!

This program is essential, and it needs to stay open to support those in need.

These students deserve the chance to better their new lives in Canada, economically, culturally and socially, through learning English. This is a well established and essential program. It needs to be restored now!

Please restore this valuable course to VCC. How does the government expect newcomers to efficiently integrate into Canandian culture? The lack of resources harms the most vunerable; children, women, seniors and LGBTQ folks.

This is a very reasonable request.

LINC is an essential language training for new-comers to Canada and cutting this program means ignoring an important service to these new Canadians.

This is program is much needed in a growing, diverse community.

Please extend LINC programing at VCC for at least another fiscal year!

It’s a shame that this is happening. What is happening is honestly an insult to the students and education in Canada!
