Lake Tahoe, straddling both California and Nevada, is one of the most pristine environments in the world. But thanks to profit-hungry telecom companies and their “captured” regulator at Tahoe, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), this magical place is on the fast-track to destruction.
Over 100 unregulated, radiation-emitting 5G antennas have already been installed throughout the area, and the TRPA is getting ready to approve the construction of a 112-foot cell tower smack in the middle of Bald Eagle habitat!
If we don’t stop TRPA now, Lake Tahoe as we know it will not survive the looming telecom takeover.
We call for the TRPA to place a moratorium on new wireless infrastructure build-outs, and any modifications to existing wireless structures, until such time as the Agency has completed the environmental impact analyses mandated by its very own rules.

Seeing 250 signatures on this petition makes my heart ache for the home I grew up in. I remember playing near those trees as a child and thinking they would be protected forever. Knowing so many of you care about keeping this landscape raw and untouched gives me the hope I need to keep fighting.

I spend every morning walking these trails and I refuse to watch them turn into a tech graveyard for corporate towers. We are nearing the first hundred signatures and hitting that mark will prove to the TRPA that we are a force they cannot ignore.

I grew up in Reno. I love Lake Tahoe. I am badly affected by wireless radiation from cell towers. I want to be able to visit our public lands. And I want our wildlife to be protected as well.
I was born and raised in California and visited Lake Tahoe often! Please remove all of these 5G towers and preserve something that once gone can never be replaced!
5G must not be installed until there are independent studies that show it is safe. Until then it must be assumed to be dangerous, especially since the companies refuse to conduct studies.
Perform your environmental safety studies, honestly and in good conscience before moving forward with the project.
Until the proper and proven research is done, 5G should not be implemented. We don't allow drug companies to distribute drugs without verified testing, and then wait for thousands of people to die or incur life-threatening illnesses before banning them. Oh, wait! We do!
These towers will broadcast detrimental radio waves.
5G is causing people to get sick! We need to stand together against this atrocity!

I grew up in South Lake Tahoe and get up there often, I don't want to see these 5G Towers in our trees invading our forest or harming our Eagles and other animals. With all of our satellites isn't there a way not to have these in our forest?
