That this should be deemed advertisement seems to be ridiculous...surely it has merely been painted there to brighten the place up and is fun for the kids to see. Good heavens, our town and city streets are dull and boring enough already

This is quite clearly NOT an advertisement, and it brightening up an otherwise drab grey wall. The complainant, whoever it is, should be ashamed of themselves.

Could someone please explain what it is advertising ? it's a wonderful piece of art on an otherwise grey house, why would you want to deprive us of that ? Cheers me up every time I drive past it :) Keep the Koala !

Steve and Karen, don't worry about planning enforcement officers. A guy near me (and you) erected a very ugly and dangerous 10 foot Gabon wall next to a foot path, without any planning permission. He had to apply for retrospective planning and the toothless wonders at the planning department gave it too him. We were told that their department was "under staffed and under funded". Your Koalas are neither ugly or dangerous, and give us normal people a big smile when we pass your place.

"Banksy" who paints unsolicited rubbish on property without permission is praised by the establishment and his vandalism treated as heritage (see Cheltenham)
Meanwhile this beautiful work, done at owners request and is legitimate, very pleasing to the eye as well as helping us see the beauty in animals is met with red tape and pompousness.
If the criminal "Banksy" would have done it (who is a copycat of a French "artist" anyway) the council would no doubt add in their "things to see in Malmesbury" booklets.
The Koala is stunning. I want one on my house! Brighten up our street.

I use to go to k&S wen I was a little girl and to see that on the wall make me happy and proud of them both I'm know 23 and I'm expecting my 1st little one and I want to be able for him to see mr kwarler bare wen he gose to k&S and I think Wiltshire council need to get a life and stop moneing about some so amazing and do so proper work x

Come on - this is a great mural, and in no way an advertisement. It looks brilliant and brightens up the street. Council is being silly and whomever complained is a very sad soul!

This is not an advert, and to argue it is is ridiculous. My daughter loves looking at it when we walk past. If it was in Bristol the council would be embracing it - wake up Malmesbury it's the 21st century and this is an interesting piece of art brightening up a grey housing estate.
