This brightened up my day when I saw this via Facebook, I don't live in the area but would gladly appreciate this kind of art in my local town. This is not causing any harm to anyone its a caring piece of art creatively shown.

I live close to this property and do not consider it offensive or an advert. As far as I know they do not sell koalas it is for the enjoyment of the children and passers by.

How ridiculous! There are some very petty people about, only happy when they can spoil things for others. When this was first painted Malmesbury was in the news for all the right reasons. Now it is for all the wrong ones!!

It's an attractive work of art that brightens up an otherwise drab wall. There is no evidence of advertising, so it should be allowed to remain. In fact it adds something positive to the character of that area and both the artist and the property owners should be applauded.

Whoever made the complaint about it should have the balls to make themselves know and explain their reasoning as to why they find this so offensive!
I for one and I know I'm not alone think it's amazing. It brightens my day and makes me smile every time I see it!!

I saw this well I was in Malmesbury in September this year, I thought it was so beautiful and I think it should stay, and more of them should be painted. why loose this because one person complained what about the rest of us that likes it, where are our rights.

BTW - I live in Malmesbury, not Ipswich (where did that come from?) The Council should promote it as a contribution to the Malmesbury community, not behave like a bunch of 'jobs-worth's!

The Koala is the most gorgeous piece of artwork I have seen in a long time. To be able to walk past it every day is a joy. The children love it too, it is so inspirational for them to see art in real life and makes for very interesting conversations about art, koalas, their habitat, geography etc. We love it.
