I only recently moved to Malmesbury and one of the first things that brought a smile as I ventured around was this art work! My kids also love it and with the world how it is, we all need to keep each other smiling!!

My son loves looking at this every day on our way to school . Its very sad that this one person that complained wants to upset many, many children in Malmesbury we don't see a lot of happiness in this world and to see children smile when they see this is a wonderful thing! and a terrible tragedy if it's to be covered up! .please keep the koala it's not doing any harm.

How is it that the council will act on a single complaint about what can only be described as a great painting, which is giving the local children and people a lot of pleasure; But it takes several complaints for them to act on more serious actions like noise complaints or bad neighbours. They should be looking at getting their priorities right! Have they thought of the impact of their bad decision on the children who attend the playgroup? Let the person or persons who made the decision and the killjoy who made the complaint go to the play group and explain to the children why they are losing their koala bears on the wall. If it is advertising then no house should be painted as it may be seen as advertising famous paint brands like Dulux or Crown.

I live four doors away and I think the koala artwork is beautiful, it is not an advertisement, it enhances an otherwise ordinary semi detached house. The artwork is much better than the building works opposite, which even when finished are not going to look very nice. How can people be so small minded as to complain about something so lovely.

The Koalas should stay as this makes the children so happy they want to tell everyone about them. For those children who are nervous about going to nursery it helps them to focus on something else.

Ever since the Koala went up everyone who has visited at our house has walked over to enjoy the artwork. The children we have shown it to are just amazed. I hope that nothing happens to dim the smiles that have been generated with this work. It saddens me that someone would even think of campaigning against it. I hope that his or her heart is softened in the coming days and the complaint is withdrawn. It happened for the Grinch that stole Christmas so there is hope. As for the Council, just one complaint can stir you into action! How can that be?
