I grew up in this town and still live in this town. My whole family including my parents played sports as an Indian. My nieces and nephews are proudly playing as Indians today. We always have been and always will be an Indian. Nothing should change.

lets keep it and utilize this as a teaching moment. At every game we could have information about different tribes or history of the people.

This keeps up and only animals will be teams names and mascots. Would you really like to be a Golden Gopher or the Goldfinches?

I take pride in the Indian mascot! As an Indian myself I take pride in seeing a town come together and take pride in what this nation was founded on originally! If u strip us of what our town is built on what do we have left! This is all getting out of hand. It is not racist, it is not disrespectful. It is an honor in my eyes to see an Indian be held to a high standard and honor

Keep the tradition. There is nothing offensive about. We cannon let the misgivings of small few outweigh the desire of the many.

As an Indianola alum(class of '91) I hope they keep the name. It has been this way for years, I don't see why they need to change it.

Fought to keep the name in the 90’s. Don’t see how pride in a name is offensive. Actually saw an article in Washington post that Majority if Native Americans don’t find the team names offensive
