No constitution is worth the paper it's written on that doesn't hold in the first esteem every member of generations of subjects yet to exist or already present in his or her mother's womb. It would be singularly undemocratic for a republic to forget this future on which it is constituted.

I have always registered as Republican and normally vote Republican. However, if the prolife position is removed from the Republican Platform, I will register (and vote) as an independent.

Being pro life is central to the belief of the republican party. How can one say they pursue life, liberty and happiness if they believe in the murder of an innocent child. This is not akin to capital punishment, where evil is dealt with. This is the opposite.

The Pro-Life Platform of the Republican party is why I am a registered Republican. If this part of the platform is removed, I will change my registration to Independent. The Pro-Life stance is what sets Republicans apart. It is a vital part of the Republican Party and way too important to alleviate.
