Is nothing sacred. Fishing is a good all year round revenue for the piers. We put alot of money in their pockets. Remember the winter months. What will they do. Shut the pier for winter. Less revenue and less local jobs.

Banning fishing from the pier would be an end to a earier, where people come to use the facilities and enjoy themselves. I have also seen this on an essex pier where the changed the fishing hours and I can tell you the attendance to that pier has fallen by 45%, which in turn caused a section on the pier to go into disrepair for a period of nearly 2 years.

fishing off the pier is the only form of exercise my husband can do, it enables him to get fresh air which is good for his breathing, and also the people he fish with are all good friends, he will greatly miss it

Fishing is a way of life that is a strong part of the community. It should be allowed in a safe and controlled public space.

There is history here, do not destroy that.
