I'm not a fisherman, but fishing at the end of the pier is part of the charm of the pier, it's certainly a pull and something I enjoy observing.
By all means improve the pier but don't take away its charm.

To stop fishing off Eastbourne Pier would end a tradition that has gone on for generations in this town. It is part of our heritage. This is on behalf of my late husband who fished off the pier as a boy and love every minute of it.

This has been there for years and should remain there for years to come. The new owner of EASTBOURNE pier is not making himself very popular with his recent decisions. I wish he would consider how the people that grew up visiting the pier as a very young child and growing up with it feel about it. Make it better not take away what we love.

Part of a pier community is fishing on the pier. It's a national sport and many kids first introduction is fishing from the pier. The tourists love it.

when purchasing a piece of our heritage you undertake the responsibility to keep up traditions, Eastbourne has been a fishing town for over 200 years we have checked as a boniface i feel traditions and the boats are the attraction of Eastbourne.
