It cannot be right that money is more important than local people.
To close a charitable business for a folly, sorry just not right.
I don't care who bought the pier, but it's Eastbourne's not yours.
Shame on the council for selling it and not protecting the businesses there too

Good luck Lad and Lasses it was a long time ago when I was down your way and got some good help from thatlittle club .now a bit older and not doing so much fishing but I still enjoy a dabble

it's a part of eastbourne, family, day seekers, everyone. Have some fond memories of fishing on the end.

Do not let the Pier close for fishing

A great benefit for the community. Arran paid for the fishing deck to be rebuilt. He teaches kids and raises money for charity. Crazy thought to get rid of him. Move the fishing and Arran down the side of the pier.

Piers are a very important place for juniors to learn to fish safely in the company of other people, both anglers and non-anglers as well as those fishermen who may have issues with mobility. Please, please, reconsider your proposal.
