Fishing on the pier is enjoyed by many. Not only the actual anglers but many, many residents and visitors who enjoy watching the skills of catching and landing fish. It will be sadly missed.

I used to work in the little Hut when I was 17, I'm 38 now, still have a chuckle to myself when ever I walk past, this is a part of the fixtures and fittings of the pier, it has to stay

My uncle fishes on the pier and he would be devastated if this were to go. Shame on the Sheik for even thinking of such a proposal!

Started sea fishing off the pier as a young boy . It's a tradition that should not be cast aside just because it doesn't bring in huge profits . Would be a very sad day to let this traditional pastime slip away

Will destroy a part of the local culture, it's great to walk around the pier and see the hardy fishing folk at the end, such enterprise to keep this alive!

Such a shame. New owner asked what people of Eastbourne wAnted and then shuts down fishing anyway. It,s what the end of our pier has always been used for.
