the closure should not be allowed to happen...this would be a travesty if the fishing were to stop...A call to action people....this is my brothers fishing shop on Eastbourne Pier...its one of a few left in the country and a businessman has purchased the pier and wants to shut it down and put boats in its place for tourists.....my brother has events for kids....and has kids clubs where kids learn about fishing and being outdoors and nature, not sitting on their Ipads..play stations etc......its a local meeting point for all sorts of people from kids to the older generation and should be bolstered not shut down...we all need to show our support for hobbies and places such as these that promote a better life....please sign the petition

Iam Arrans partner and the the fishing is not only a hobby for many it is our lively hood it provides meals on our dinner table and a roof over our head! A&T tackle has school and college's book days out. Everybody knows someone who has fished on the Pier, pleased don't let this be the end of an era. PLEASE Sign and show your support!

Please don't stop the fishing on the pier. I am 56 and have fished in the sea all my life but now suffer from osteoarthritis and places like Eastbourne pier are precious, without them sea angling is finished for disabled folk.

I expect Sheikh Abid Gulza might want to put a farm at the end or bling the whole pier in his favourite gold and black like his cars, so fishing will be so out of place. He probably would make it his money making business!!
