1st the new owner changes the pier names, 2nd he's thinking if charging to go on the pier and now he wants to close the fishing, it might as well burnt to the ground as he's taking the spirt of the pier away, I will never go eastbourne pier until it's been named eastbourne pier.

Outrageous......a unique fishing spot for many people in Eastbourne and all over the UK. .....how much more money does that man need ? people's livelihoods and history of the pier are less important than a bank balance ?

Please reconsider this, such a perfect place to get younger children interested in sea angling.

A safe and friendly place to teach kids the art and etiquettes of fishing. This must stay available to all.

The only people who need to be stopped from fishing are a small minority of people who leave litter and behave like idiots.

This has been part of out wonderdul pier for many years and people travel long distances to fish the pier. There is nowhere else on the south coast where one can fish off a pier and so it is a unique opportunity to challenge the sea. There is a close community which will fracture if fishing stops there. If we are to keep our community together then thus must stay so please consider the loyal patrons of eastbourne pier that attend wind, rain, snow and sun. You need them there too.

Important to preserve, not only our few piers, but also their accessibility to young, old and disabled anglers. Wonderful pier? Fished it many times.
