Unbelievable, the new owner might want to consider the fact that fishing plays a major part in UK (!) citizens lives, over 1 million of us par take in our beloved sport and it's something we take a lot of pride in doing.

The first days sea fishing I did was with my dad from Eastbourne pier when I was 10, I am now 60 and still love sea fishing (fishing kept me out of trouble in my youth).

It would be sad for another pier to be lost ,far too many have been lost to extreme weather in the past, we must keep this heritage alive for future generations to enjoy, But why do they want to stop fishing, can the owner tell me,!!

Most of my child hood memories of my self fishing with my father and friends were spent here..please let many more children have the same opportunity as it's a great place to fish..

The fishing at the end of the pier has been an important role of the pier. I really hope it isn't going to be lost to the thousands of people who enjoy it

If this goes you take away herratige from the pier, just leave things alone, also maybe when selling these historic landmarks on our shores, they should sell with a proviso that no herratige should be taken away, we should be preserving these things on our historic land,arks not taking them away and therefore removing there identity..

Keep fishing on the pier its part of Eastbourne pier and I can remember watching fishermen when I was a kid so keep on fishing so others can enjoy watching

Please support Aaron to remain on the pier. My son has loved fishing from there and it provides a unique opportunity for people with physical difficulties who would not be able to fish from the beach to feel included in the angling community.

It would be an absolute tragedy if fishing was no longer allowed from this iconic venue. The fishing decks have been a part of the pier experience for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest fishing memories were formed in the pier, like countless other anglers all across the region.
