There is no logical reason to stop the fishing off the pier, please keep the Eastbourne anglers happy and allow them to continue the sport they love.

Grew up fishing here and it is part of Eastbourne's heritage to be able to fish here for locals and holidaymakers alike. I will be less likely to return with my family to Eastbourne for hols if fishing is banned there and therefore won't spend in other local businesses. Pleas keep the pier open for fishing. Thanks, Will

We can't let people keep buying away all our fishing. It's a passion that we need to make people try and understand.

I would hate to see this pier lost as a fishing venue. I have very happy memories of fishing from piers and sadly, the vast majority have now been lost due to dereliction from various causes.

How can one man deny the enjoyment of many hundreds willingly?? Too many venues being lost for the children to safely fish. Not this one as well please.

Good fishing is being lost on piers because of over zealous regulations. Hundreds enjoy fishing off Eastbourne pier and come back time and time again. Leave alone what doesn't need fixing!

Please let the people of Eastbourne enjoy there fishing off the Pier, especially for the elderly and impaired people who enjoy this sport.

Yep so true. Our sport needs every small business behind it and supported. We are losing too many of the oldest and finest fishing places and tackle shop all to quickly to the big side and what I call the less caring side you have my support
