Why would anyone want to end such history, and in the current climate people should be encouraged to get out into the fresh air....i hope this doesnt happen....

DO NOT STOP THE FISHING ON THE PIER! This should be our God given right in this country! Unless this makes it totally private. Then we should have the right to fish it!

I HAVE FISHED HERE ON AND OFF THE LAST 15 YEARS AND IS AS MUCH A PART OV THE PIER AS ANY OTHER ATRACTION I THINK ITS DISGRACEFUL ITS BEEN SOLD AT ALL

As far as I am aware every working pier in the country is used by anglers. Why is it so necessary for Mr G to ban it?

I remember fishing on the pier when I was a child coming to Eastbourne regularly in my school holidays. I would like it to stay please. I also remember the fishermen talking to the children and explaining to them about boats and fishing etc. Please let's not spoil their livelihood.
