Too many piers are closing to anglers. How do they expect youngsters to learn new skills in a safe environment when the options are taken away from them.

Its a local business which should be supported and not closed. Hes only had the pier a few weeks and already annoyed most of the town.

I would be interested to know the new owner's reasons for wishing to stop the fishing.

Leave Eastbourne pier as it is, including fishing at the end of the pier, which is run by AT Tackle.

Generations of my family have been fishing from the end of the pier for as far back as we know and losing it would be like losing a bit of our history. I want my sons and daughters to continue to fish there like me, their dad or their grandad, their great uncles and their great grandad did. It would be devastating to see it go!!!!

Shouldnt have sold it to a foreigner and as it was then local issues should have been discussed and clauses put in place..
Bloody typical of this country.

We need to stick together and not just roll over. I'm old enough to remember the lead shot issue 30 years ago when I match fished
Just gave in, and it proved to be crap.
