The pier is for community enjoyment and I would expect this and the traditions of our community to be fully respected. I will certainly never visit the pier again if the community and traditions of Eastbourne are disrespected.

Fishing should stay on the end of pier.Perhaps people can fish from sides of pier when landing stage is not available.
