Let's keep our city as safe and "real" as possible. No city gained character from the complaints of wealthy yuppies.

I don't believe that the train horns should be silenced where roads intersect with the railroad tracks Such action will create safety hazards. Railroads were operating long before gentrification started in East Nashville.

I am against them silencing the trains, There will 10 times as many accidents if they were silenced.

If you don't like east nashville, then don't move here. You don't get to dictate what appropriate safety measures are just because you feel inconvenienced.

I'm a lifelong East Nashville resident, and have always heard the train horns. And people have always lived near the tracks without complaint. Until now, when developers are snatching up every spare scrap of land by the tracks and selling houses to folks crazy enough to buy them. If you buy a house with a train track a few feet behind it, then you should expect to hear the train horns. Plus, they serve a necessary warning to those who might be on the tracks.

I have lived 2 blocks from the tracks for almost 17 years now. I LOVE the sounds of the trains! Don't take that away from us... one of the few authentic things left in East Nashville.
