Look the Confederate Flag dont spread Hate ...the only thing spreading hate in America is Islmci Muslims like Obama spreading hate against Christianity. Do us a favor since public schools have never taught the true Civil War...Go to a real public Library and look up the information in all the books they will have written by historians based on the facts and records from State Library records and you will find out what the flag actually stood for...from its stars to its bars what they all meant and also the truth about the Civil War. Let those who like me I had 6 Great Great Grandfathers who fought against the Yankees and alkso countless other cousin and Great Great Unlce ancestros and aso on and had one Great Great Great Grandfather fight all on the South, 29th Virginia Infantry, 4th Virginia Calvary, 32nd North Carolina, though most my ancestor served the 29th Virginia.....not all black people and minorities like Obama a muslim actually hate the flag...if you joined a historical society in the south you would be surprised how many black supporters there are...as a Historian I can myself shhare with you photos of black men and women who are proud of the flag that there ancestors fought for...and I can show you pictures of grave monuments placed by the daughters of the Confederacy on the Graves of Black soldiers who served in the Confederacy and were free men of color who chose to support the Southern Cause....find out the truth about history you biggots like the SC woman gov.....the truth is slavery was not why the war started at all...and many in the south indeed moest the southern leaders in the military including Lee and Jackson and Longstreet were against slavery....and thought it should be done away with and there be a simple work for pay structure set in place in those days. BUt there was much more to the civil war than slavery which if you do your history will explain to you why the yankee soldiers complained and wanted nothing to do with the black soldiers

It is a symbol of cival war heritage and not hate it represents what our country and its people can over come in time when people stop raising their children to hate maybe we as a whole can move forward and focus on more important issues such as homelessness

I sign this because they are trying to remove a huge part of our history. I have a confederate flag on my back wall and it will stay there and fly higher until it stays where it belongs

I understand both sides of this flags viewpoint but this flag is history and taking it down doesn't change or help anything. If a black president doesn't create change this won't either. Keep it flying SC!

I am in no way shape or for racist, but this flag holds true to my heart. when people say the flag stands for hate and encourages racism, that's just like saying guns kill people, no. People kill people. It's all about the way you look at it. Some people stare at a gun and think "murder weapon," and others (many) look at it as protection, or survival tool, or hunting necessity. Just like the flag, some see racism, but many others, just like me see pride, heritage, history, and bravery.
