Columbus was part of history . Dont try to erase it by removing the statue. It's been there over 80 years and should remain right where it is.

Your reasons for keeping the monument hit the nail on the head and I totally agree. Yes, it is true our country and some of our people at that time in history was not perfect it was a different time and different view points at that time. However we should not erase any of our history in my opinion and then try to re-write it from todays view point. History is just that History and history is not always perfect.

You can’t erase history. There are a lot of things I don’t like. But I ignore and move past them. This statue MUST stay where it is. It pays respect and honor to the Italians who bless this city. God bless Columbus Circle and OUR statue.
