History should be both respected and learned from. All lives matter. We need to correct abuse and show respect to each other on a one to one basis not move a historic statue.

There is a proud history of Italian immigrants donating $1, $2, $5 to have this statue erected in honor of their heritage, and their homeland. Those who call for it to be removed would deny that tribute that many worked so hard for, and they those of us who followed continue to appreciate.

Please honor our immigrants by keeping the statue of Christopher Columbus present and in it's original location. Italian immigrants made the voyage to America under great hardship. They worked extremely hard to suceed in a new world and those same values remain present today in the generations that have followed. Please do not strip our culture of this history. Please do not take that away from us!

There is plenty of room in the circle for those against the statue to place a plaque with their message...just like the Italian-American citizens did decades ago. Instead of erasing others perspective add your own. We can always use a new fountain and or statue.

It’s an appropriate historical statue that should not offend and group. This is getting out of hand... protesters demanding that historical and appropriate statues and the like be removed from public places and viewing.
