My grandparents were very hard-working Italian-Americans who also faced some prejudice, name calling etc.
Honor must be made for their effort.

We need to be ADULTS and stop getting rid of our history and tearing things down just because someone “ doesn’t like” it. We all just need to put on our big boy/girl pants and be the adults we are!

We wouldn’t dare remove a statue of a person of color. You can’t change history. You can’t expect a explorer from the 1600s and the 1600s way of life to reflect the values of 2020 century way different eras laws etc.

We honor Columbus's bravery and foresight and heritage. All people are more than one thing, the monument is meant to honor that part of Columbus.
