Let's "reimagine", Lisa Romano Moore and the OHA move on to another subject. Leave the Columbus Monument as it is!

Please keep this historical work of art it tact! Stop trying to erase history, good or bad it needs to be preserved so that we may learn history. Isn't that the whole point to history, to document it so we can learn from it?

My grandparents Bruno and Jennie Giordano immigrated from Italy in 1920. Grandpa was employed at Easy Washer in Syracuse NY. They raised 8 children ...all who became productive citizens of this great city and county.

You cannot go around and remove statues. It’s our history.

Great idea to keep this amazing, historical monument in place while pairing it with other works of art in the circle.

Monuments are erected to remind future generations of prior accomplishments. Most of the time, as is the case with this statue, they are erected generations after the accomplishments were made. No nation and no person is without flaws. This monument must remain standing and if it serves as conversation starter about policies and mistakes made along the long arc of history, so be it.

It is heritage. That means history. I am from europe but visited this beautiful place. You would take the soul out of this place by aplying political wind. (European thought) I am not a follower of any christian ideology but i would be against demolishing the structure of the church. My neigbours next door are appartments what are build inside an old church structure. But they kept the soul alive. A solution for this would be an extra sign what explains the history. So everyone could learn. Thanks for reading and i hope truly you would take my experience in consideration. God bless you all

I love Columbus statue . When I was young as a little girl swimming at the YWCA five days a week I would pass by the statue. I was really happy going to the court house and buying a snack from Mr. Sweety between my workouts. I am real upset that the mayor will take it away.

Keep the statue in place and move on with more pressing issues and concerns in the city.

Build another park for any group that wants one, but leave Columbus circle alone

I fully support this group and am dismayed that this statue of Columbus needs to be removed. It is historic and we can’t forget that.

You cannot be an inclusive city by excluding the very immigrants that built it.

Thank you for continuing the fight! Nothing like a good dose of local cancel culture.
