If a face mask policy is implemented, you must allow a parent or legal guardian to opt-out their child, as required by Florida Department of Health Emergency Rule 64DER21-12. It violates parental rights by not doing so. PARENTS have the rights to make health care decisions for their children! And I would strongly reconsider any plans to discriminate against any children who are opted out, whereby marking them or separating them in any way from normal classroom settings. We will not hesitate to pursue legal action if ours and our childrens' rights are violated and the laws broken.

The Florida legislation passed the bill Parents Rights into law. By mandating masks the school is violating the law. There is not a single study the school board can provide with proof that masks mitigate , slow, prevent or stop the spread of the virus . Breaking a law opens the school district up to lawsuits for a medical device that all research studies indicate do not make a difference and in fact can be harmful , physically and psychological.

We are losing our freedom! My boys have masks on them at all times. They are to wear them is they are in close quarters with others or if they feel ill. Our bodies our choice!

Last year my daughter ended up with medical issues on top of the medical condition she already has not Covid related and missed 30 days of school.

My daughter attends high School in Charlotte county. Scientifically speaking, it has been established that masks have not been a proven prevention of contracting covid.
Regardless of what the media and politicians will say, wearing a mask over your face make it difficult to breathe, especially coupling it with the fact that we live in Florida and it's summertime not to mention medical conditions that each child may be facing. Wearing a mask is a decision to be made by the parents not the government.
