Use logic and reason here and notice the children have been fine. Don't do it

This is simple, parents have the right to choose for there children and my 17 year old Student has the capacity to think for herself This is our choice as a family not a board of fearful individuals.

Just left a Workshop meeting of CC School Board -- they voted not to bring back masks. Superintendent Dionisio talked them into not becoming a "yoyo" school board that changes their minds later.

We are asking you to make the right choice and not mandate masks for OUR children! There is no scientific data to back up that they even work but there is showing that they DO NOT and proof of all the other health issues they do cause in kids! It should ALWAYS be a parents choice to make ALL medical decisions without anyone imposing on their rights! Please make the right choice, if you care about our kids you will!

Keep children free from bacteria and lung issues caused by masks. There is no scientific data to back masking children...AT ALL.

Parents should have the final say on whether their child should be wearing a mask all day.

I am writing to request Charlotte County Schools maintain the current practice of masks being optional. I am a teacher at a CCPS middle school and spent so much time last year regulating students improper wearing of masks. Kids are not coming in with new or clean masks. The lack of good practices defeats any potential benefits. My daughter is a Sarasota schools student. Their mandate has created disruption to learning from the backlash of those who feel their right to choose is more detrimental to our kids. It adds one more burden to teachers now having to enforce that mandate. I do not want to see Charlotte County schools go through what our neighboring districts are battling. The kids and school staff are put in the middle. Some popular comments made by those in favor of mask mandates are that masks were worn last year and we had significantly fewer cases. However we are now dealing with the Delta variant that had been proven to be more contagious. This is the explanation for more cases. Parents sending sick kids dosed with medicine to mask symptoms is a greater problem. Perhaps a partnership with the health department to facilitate testing by school nurses would be a better use of efforts. I was out most of last week with a sick child and then while home found out her last day in school she was exposed. It was impossible to get immediate testing and results for her. Community testing centers/pharmacies/physicians are so overwhelmed. Many of CCPS parents have jobs they can't easily take time off to get a child tested. So many of their children get sent to schools sick and quite possibly contagious with COVID. Most of the families would gladly have child tested if it was easier to access. Assisting families in testing services will stop the spread more than a mask. I personally choose not to wear a mask in most situations. When I am in the busy hallways with students I will wear but once in my room or staff meetings

Masks should remain parents choice. There is too much data that proves masks mentally & physically injure children & they don’t protect against a virus anyways.

Masks are not needed for our children. Wearing them all day can cause so many problems with breathing. Let’s listen to our Governor. He is awesome!!!
