It would like it a latte if the Second Cup could remain open over the summer. It provides a valuable service for staff, faculty, and grad students who work in the building all year.

Please keep the 2ndCup open AND fully stocked during the summer. The coffee cart in ANNU has already been closed and replaced by a machine which makes horrible and very expensive coffee and tea.
Thank you for your consideration

I love the coffee shop and am a regular patron! The coffee is miles better than that in the cafeteria. Please keep it around!

First you closed the coffee cart in the Building of Animal Biosciences that housed 3 departments in total: (Human Biol. & Nutr. Sci., Animal Biosciences, and CCS on basement level of building and replaced it with a coffee machine and a candy machine that constantly breaks down. HHNS has 150 grad students and ABSC has 157 grad students that are here all year long doing research and writing their thesis .A huge building with over 300 grad students in total. And not included in that total is staff and faculty from all 3 departments as well. Now they are closing 2nd cup as well? Explain this to me??????? Makes no sense whatsoever.

The staff, faculty and grad students are still there all summer - the world does not have to revolve around what the OVC DVM students do. We all matte as well!

As per the other comments, coffee shop in the building enhances workplace wellness. I too miss the soup. Rather than closing the shop for the summer, how about augmenting the beverages & foods on offer. Ice cream, anyone?

I patronize the Second Cup coffee shop year-round, every day, and love it. It's an essential part of our community.

Miss the soup and sandwiches. Would miss the convenience of onsite coffee as well. There isn't enough time on a coffee break to go elsewhere. Besides the weatherman doesn't always cooperate making even a short venture out uncomfortable.

While I understand that the absence of undergraduate students over the summer semester requires some reduced operation hours, closing the Building 89 Second Cup means that a building largely occupied by full-time staff and graduate researchers is no longer going to be helping pad your summer revenues. Going to the OVC cafeteria isn't ideal, as we don't have time to do so for our morning breaks, and it's closed by the time the afternoon breaks roll around.

The Second Cup Coffee Shop is part of our building community it is a meeting/break area for staff, students, visitors and for groups that conduct seminars/labs/meetings. If you do not have product to sell e.g. sandwiches, soups or broken down machines eg specialty coffee machine then you can not get sales. Listen to the wants and needs of your customers and the sales will come. I though Hospitality Services was non profit and on campus to service the staff and students. The service is great at Second Cup and I would hate to see it closed. There would certainly be a void.

Very important for both staff, students and guests to gather to share ideas and grab food.
